About the project
Engaged with Department of Education and Training to lead the user experience and user interface design activities for Unique Student Identifier – USI project. The platform intends to serve students undertaking vocational education and training across Australia. Currently 8 million users using the platform. Key responsibilities included;
- Plan and conduct collaborative design workshops to understand the business goals, current pain points, user needs, and desired outcomes.
- Develop user flows, journey maps, conceptual design, low/high fidelity wireframe/user interface and interactive Prototype to test the design hypothesis.
- Produce user interface (UI) and visual design aligned with department’s branding guidelines.
- Develop content strategy outlining detailed guidelines on writing and WCAG AA compliance
- Take ownership of the project and work closely with all key stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes.
Outcome:
- Successfully delivered end-to-end user experience, user interface, and visual design for DET USI website.
- The design, usability and experience was tested well received by target audiences and related stakeholders.
- After the complete release of the project, Department expects to reduce significant amount of resource overheads, reduce registration time, improve service and reduce support call by significantly.
